Look at my Creatures : San Diego Zoo :)

We went to the zoo Last Month while down in beautfiul San Diego for a wedding. SInce I was all ready spending the night there because of the 12 hours wedding day.. I figured why not make it a family weekend! It was so much fun. For those of you have never been to the San Diego ZOO.. you must go ! It is 100 times better thatn the LA Zoo. The animals actually come out and look at you. It is shaded and cool and the whole place is beautiful! Here are my fave images from the day. I love spending time with my family and I love seeing all the awesome creatures.

The first two creatures we saw were these funny looking mamals eating some kind of frozen snack!

They seemd to be very consumed by the sweetness of the treat.
IMG_1305
I even got one of them to take a picture with me by promising more treats later.
IMG_1396
I saw this very attractive creature waliking on a brigde and caught up to him to get a picture.
IMG_1387

Many of the creatures were resting.

Some were so hungry they began to eat dead trees.

The attractive one was able to catch the two funny looking ones for a moment. I couldn't resist a picture of this too,

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU DO NOT LIKE 8 Legged Creatures... DO not keep looking at this post. I do not hold myself liable for any damages you may cause to your own computer screen after viewing the next 2 images... :)
After that we saw that the creepy creatures were trying to web us into the park and we quickly ran away.. This was hard being that the webs were only 5 feet above our heads.

IMG_1539

I can't think of anything clever to say here, just ahhhhhhh! and ewwwwwww! and that you have to walk under these webs to get down from the polar bear plunge and most people didnt even know they were there.
IMG_1547
The funny looking creatures caught thsi giant hippo and it just gave up! The power of small children is amazing!

IMG_1557

This creature thought I was boring.

Now my favorites:
This is what my house looke like during the weekend when I'm not there....

A calmer creature asked me to do her headshots:

Awesome Rascal Flatts Concert With My Mom!

On April 11th my mother and I made traveled north towards San Jose CA for to visit the best Country Music Band at one of the best venues in the state! The HP pavilion in San Jose served us the Boys of Rascal Flatts on a silver platter, front row leaning on the stage grabbing at jeans and boots. But this was a few years back. 2008 however proved to be a bit more sheltered and restricted. We were in row 13 seats 13-14 and sad because the not so nice (language super watered down here) wouldn't let me take my camera in. Well, my real camera that is. They claimed that any camera with a detachable lens is considered professional!!! What are they thinking? Professional photographers don't bring their cameras to concerts.. It's totally just a hobby of mine.. right... anyway after fighting the rules for 30 minutes (and not wanting to miss out on the cutest opening act ever) I gave in a checked my "hobby" camera at the security desk. So, i did have a back up, my Canon SD800 / IXUS 850. I had fun getting all the settings to work with the crazy hot white light they use as spotlights now.. and hey a little bitt o' grain is good for your heath! So, I got the right idea and got a few beautiful images to enjoy and love forever. So thank-you to my wonderful mother for taking me along again. Her 13th time (seat 13) and my 14th (seat 14) ! Oh and the awesome opening act, the adorable Miss Taylor Swift.
I have way too many pictures to post, so many I'll make a slideshow in the future.......But for now I will start by over-posting images of my fave member of the band, Joe Don Rooney

Me and Mom having the best time!

I love Friday Mornings

The first Friday of every month is flag salute Friday. This month the site council at my daughters school decided to honor 2 parents who served our country by presenting them with honorary care packages. The packages were extra special because they were made by students from my daughters class. I had brought my camera as a last minute grab on my way out the door as we let for school, and it was such a beautiful moment to capture. Here are the 2 students giving their parents the care packs after the Pledge of Allegiance was delivered and the National Anthem had been sang. I found that there are many many websites helping get care packages to our men and women serving over seas.

Below is My daughter's class, student council and the 2 officers.
Thanks Mrs. L and Mrs. T for getting our kids involved and aware.

A great all around guy!

I have always held a special spot in my heart for a certain actor. I enjoy the roles he chooses to become and his views he shares about life in general. A few of my all time faves of his are Catch Me if You Can & Blood Diamond & The Aviator .

Here is a link to his website where you can see what the wonderful and talented Mr Leonardo DiCaprio has been doing lately. Oh and, aside from the year, we share the same birthday!

This picture, for the record is from the www... not one of mine. But, One day, I will have the honor of photographing this interesting man.

Even Almighty, totally not expected!

Last week I was mad at my DVR box for not recording my shows, but I still wanted to watch something good! So, I splurged and ordered a movie from the on demand list. Funny how my DVR can't work properly but can always offer me the shows that I have to pay for! Anyway, I hadn't yet seen Even Almighty, and had been wanting to far a long time. We don't really get out to the theatre, having 2 small children makes it tricky and we always miss them while enjoying a show. So, most of our major motion picture viewing is done from our home. I decided to watch Evan Almighty for the very reasonable price of $3.95.

My reasons for wanting to see this movie were abundant. First of all the fabulous actress Lauren Graham is a co-star and I LOVE her! Second, I thought the preceding movie, Bruce Almighty was hilarious and i figured this one would be as well. And third, my favorite band, Rascall Flatts, has a song in the movie! Not just any song... A remake of the famous song created by the most amazing band who ever played, The Beatles!!! They recorded Revolution, click here to see how the rock it out!!! Finally, this movie had me laughing a lot! It also had me Crying a lot too. For a movie you would go to see because it seems to be easy going and light and sure to bring happiness to your heart. Well, yes this is what it did for me. It really got me thinking, and I love when you see something and can't get it our of your head. Take this, A.R.K. and then see the movie and come to me a tell me what you think. It was shocking for a message so strong to come from a film like this, especially because Bruce Almighty had its messages, but none that stuck a cord like Evan Almighty. I don't want to give anything away if you haven't seen it. But please if you have been putting it off or just aren't interested, it's worth it! It will get you thinking about your family and your friends, but most importantly, the people you don't know. It will get that holiday spark going for you. So, then decide on your A.R.K. and go do it!
Here is a trailer of the movie

I highly suggest this movie. It is way cleaner than Bruce Almighty! But, still just as funny! Plus you are gaurenteed to come away from it with more than just 90 minutes of great entertainment.

things I love about this past September

I am truly enjoying this once every-day posting gig! Being able to post a lot of personal goods up here is fun for me because I hope it gives my clients (you all out there) a chance to get to know me a bit more.I have so much work I am going trough at this moment and to escape it for a few minutes each day is perfect. Weird though how my work (this blog) is now my escape from work!!!! I spend a lot of time asking you questions and learning about your personalities, this is where you can learn more of who I am. So, i wanted to post this in September, but the time slipped by too fast. First but not the most important by far, would have to be my Blackberry Curve! I love it because it lets me live life and still get any uber important messages that have special requests or time limitations!!! Plus it hold a lot of stuff.... I have a 2 gb card in it! Who would have ever thought of a 2 gb memory card for a cell phone?
second: But on the very top of my list and from the whole entirety of my heart... is my babes!
Susie is a hair stylist! Poor baby brother! third: ahhhhhhhhh the rain.. It finally came to us during the very end of the month. I love rain! It is my most favorite thing. I can do anything in the rain. i especially love going to Disneyland in the rain! :)
Forth: and no particular order for these items (except for the babes) RASCAL FLATTS released their new CD!!!!! I' love it even more than the last 4 albums. They keep getting better!
And some lyrics from my fave song off that CD, Still feels good....... :)

Well, that was my September. With a few things left out. Oh and I have to mention my all time favorite thing which can't be ranked or categorized, my hubby, Alex!
